Mr. Fabrikant is an attorney licensed in State as well as Federal Courts. Mr. Fabrikant has also owned his law firm since 2001. Mr. Fabrikant’s areas of legal practice includes a focus on corporate and securities law, state blue sky laws, private placement offerings, and hedge funds establishment. Setting up a hedge fund includes corporate organization of the fund entity, the fund managing entity and preparation of fund offering documents such as the private placement memorandum, investor questionnaire and subscription agreement, among others. Mr. Fabrikant has also represented clients on intellectual property matters such as patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets, including registrations, contract licensing and litigation. Lecturing on securities matters offers Mr. Fabrikant an opportunity to explain to interested persons the differences between the options available to establishing the multitude of vehicles to raise capital with. Mr. Fabrikant obtained an undergraduate degree in Accounting, and attended law school in South Florida, emphasizing on accounting and finance laws and regulations.
The topic of securities law encompasses State as well as Federal laws, including the Securities and Exchange Commission regulations. State securities laws are often referred to as “blue sky laws” and are also issued in conjunction with regulations promulgates by States’ regulatory agencies charged with overseeing securities offerings. Mr. Fabrikant started in business back in high school when he started a car washing company and had several people working for him. Since such time, Mr. Fabrikant has owned entertainment-based businesses such as a production company and talent management company out of New York City, as well as a music and video distribution company based in Florida. Mr. Fabrikant has been involved in raising capital for his own companies in addition for others.
